Hot Metal Bridge faith community on the South Side serves free meals to homeless and food challenged people every Tuesday and Thursday. For maybe 6 or 8 years, a group of folks from CHUP along with some friends, go the second Tuesday of every month. We prepare and serve a meal for at least 100 people and clean up afterwards. We welcome any and all volunteers to participate in whatever way they can: providing or preparing food ahead of time, serving our friends, cleaning up – or just tagging along to continue building loving relationships to our friends in need.

If you are interested in joining us, we generally meet at Hot Metal Bridge around 4:00 (but understand some cannot get there until later). The meal is served at 5:30 and we are usually finished cleaning up by 6:45.
